DONATE OAKLAND
Ken Katz: www.donateoakland.org

I built a very basic website for a local non-profit with which I’m associated called DonateOakland.org. The site looked like it was assembled by an 8 year-old – a not very talented one at that. With no budget to work with, we jumped at the opportunity to have a more professional website designed for free for our very specific needs. We couldn’t be more delighted with the result – especially since Hack the Hood is simultaneously providing young people with an incredibly valuable set of skills. By the way, did I mention that this is all free – not just the website but also the website-hosting which is courtesy of Weebly?

Sincerely,

Ken Katz

URBAN LIFE JEWELS
Grace Henry: www.urbanlifejewels.com

I write this letter as a testimonial of the great community service your organization has imparted on so many levels. I am most appreciative of the skills that has brought to fruition my website and given a segway to the future of youthful minds allowing so many opportunities on both the receiving and giving ends.

When I encountered your organization it reminded me of my own youth; whereas, I was one of the first, if not the first person of color to participate in a similar program back in the day. Due to my experience in the program back then I know firsthand about the cultivating and harvesting of young minds; thereby giving way to opportunities that might not have been realized. I thank all involved from the bottom of my heart for champion a great resource.

Sincerely,

Grace Smith

MIR ART CONSULTING
Amira Richmond: www.mirartconsulting.com

My savvy as a business owner would come to a screeching halt every time I made the attempt to get my art consulting company online. So I reached out to Hack The Hood for technical assistance. Max set up an appointment to walk me through the entire process from design layout to inputting the webpage content I wrote. I left our consultation feeling less overwhelmed and really confident about the entire online process. I’m truly grateful for your patience and expertise.
